.css file, you need to set the image to the absolute url:
<style type="text/css" media="all"> #patternLeftBar { background-image:url("/pub/TWiki/WebPreferences/logo.gif"); } </style>You can always write a <style> in a topic - all current browsers support this - but the page won't validate as valid XHTML.
